If you (like most people) have a busy life, but still want to “keep it raw”, here are some suggestions to help you out in planning your raw food week.
Saturday and Sunday (or the day you are off from work)
Plan what foods to prepare, shop groceries and make dishes that stay fresh for a couple of days. Like a dressing, a spread or jam for crackers or breads, a yummy dessert, marinated veggies or a pâté to wrap in a lettuce leaf or dress up a salad etc.
Monday – Wednesday
Eat the scrumptious foods that you made on the weekend. Just add greens.
Thursday
Visit salad and juice bars for take-out. Eat simple salads or make soups and smoothies based on the juices.
Friday
TGIF! Make a little more sumptuous or rich dish, like raw lasagna, pizza or a cashew ice cream. Or test a new recipe. Make a lip-smacking dessert to hold you over the weekend.
One weekend a month
Prepare dehydrated foods, like crackers and breads, cookies, veggie burgers, muesli and granola, fruit leathers etc. Soak and dehydrate nuts and seeds to have handy so you can whip up a recipe without planning and waiting for them to soak first.
With these tips it is easier to stay raw even if you are BUSY!
