At the Yellow Green Farmers Market you will find produce from local farmers; garden and tropical plants; crafts by local artisans like clothes and jewelry; as well as juice bars and cafes.
Some other raw food gems I found at the market were raw honey; fresh coconut water; smoothies made from whole ripe fresh fruits and veggies; guacamole, gazpacho & pickles; and skin lotions handmade from 100% plant derived pure and natural ingredients.
The Yellow Green Farmers Market in Hollywood is open year round on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The market, which consists of some 300 under-roof booths, is located just west of I95 and south of Sheridan.
The picture above actually looks like it could be from a Scandinavian farm!
Alexandra the beekeeper (or apiarist)
She offers raw honey with various flavors collected from wild flowers, orange blossoms, avocado, and even from coffee and mangrove flowers! Mangroves actually give the honey a salty, but subtle and pleasant flavor.
Yummy guacamole, gazpacho and pickles!
Bring your own bottle and fill with wonderful fresh coconut water.
Glass is a better option though.
If you want to eat your coconut meat right there and then, he will cut out a “spoon” for you!
5 oranges for $1.00!
