Your beautiful soul, your higher consciousness is always at peace, but the rest of you may not experience this so often or so much.
It is wonderful to have harmony in mind and body. This is something we all want more of. What can we then do to feel more peaceful and harmonic in both body and mind?
To experience this, both in feeling more at peace, but also radiating it, you may need to change your lifestyle. This is something that can be achieved if and when you really understand why and how. Besides it will be easier to make lasting changes.
Your Food
To feel more at peace you may need to adjust your diet. Review what you can and want to change right now. Then do so by deciding what it is that you want to phase out or remove, and what you eventually wish to add in.
Make the change gradually for a soft and gentle transition.
Adjustments in food intake often mean that you forego mood-affecting chemicals that we can find in food and drinks. It could be that you choose to make the decision to detoxify yourself by quitting drinking and eating for example caffeine, chocolate, processed meat, candy and processed sugar (which is hidden in so many foods) etc.
You decide if it is going to be a gradual detoxification or if you really want to take care of yourself now right away and immediately make a comprehensive detox. There are health specialists and institutes where you can get help and supervision for the fastest, best and most convenient results.
Besides avoiding certain foods, do choose to add and eat as much and as many dishes as you can of the cleanest foods you find. Organic and locally grown raw food is optimal.
Drama detox
To experience more peacefulness you can also resolve to conduct or carry out a so-called drama detoxification. It is another kind of cleansing or purification. Very powerful though. You simply refrain from taking in negativity and drama from various media such as books and television for example and from other areas of life. You decide to really pay attention to all the violence, negativity and drama that comes into your life from different angles. And to opt out of this as best you can.
Once you are aware of all the negativity you are being bombarded with, then you reject as much as you want and can. It means to stop reading whodunnit stories and crime novels, not watching movies and series containing violence, war and death. Choose not to watch TV shows about disasters, crimes and other evilness. Avoid video games and news programs that constantly serve us destructive and disturbing pictures. It also means avoiding or reducing time with people who tend to be negative or gossip about others.
We are energetically influenced by everything we read, see and are exposed to, so be careful with what you choose. Magazines can also have an impact. In one of Doreen Virtue’s books, the angels say about gossip magazines: “By focusing on the drama in other people’s lives, you attract more drama into your own life.” And that’s not something we really want, but we might not pay attention to this or understand how we are affected.
Billions are constantly being spent on advertising. All the images of what we should treat ourselves to, the latest fad or item we should acquire, the espresso and the chocolate praline that we deserve, etc. We are constantly and everywhere bombarded with such impressions. And they work after all, otherwise the advertising budgets wouldn’t be so high. So thoroughly review all the negativity that you are blasted with and see what you can stop already today. Children are particularly vulnerable because they lack the filters that adults have acquired.
Many years ago, one of my children’s teachers (someone I appreciated and thought was very knowledgeable and talented) told of some friends of him who had moved out in the countryside, near the Rocky Mountains, and had decided to live completely without newspapers and TV. It was the strangest behavior I had heard about then (early 1980s), but it planted a small seed. Later I saw various reports from the Amish people who lived completely without electricity, television and magazines as well, but could still in some way follow what happened in the US and around the world, and I was fascinated by this. A few years ago I chose to skip reading daily newspapers and so-called gossip magazines and to watch news programs. By then I had already rejected films and books containing violence.
So for me I can not only thank the diet, the relatively chemical-free raw food or the vegetarian food that I eat, for giving me a peaceful mind. The lack of negative influence, drama, aggressiveness, gossip, etc. that I choose to avoid as much as I can, has undoubtedly contributed a lot to a more peaceful state of mind.
When I now happen to see “breaking news” on a TV screen at an airport, cafe, etc., I feel that it is quite foreign to me. Although I may take it in and then say a silent prayer for the people involved, I almost never feel that it is something I want to be upset by, engaged in or tell everyone else about. If there are violent crimes against our earth I happen to see, then I do not feel as calm, I get a little upset. And if there are reports of animals being treated badly or cruelly, I can’t look at all. They affect me the worst.
It is said that everything has an end and that everything happens for the best. I also try to think like that when I see disturbing pictures, even though I may not really have the ability to understand it all right then and there. But it helps.
Sound and noise
Different sounds can contribute to stress or on the other hand they can provide peacefulness and harmony. There is no difference between sound and noise physically, but an unwanted sound that affects health and quality of life is called noise according to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. One of the most serious effects of noise as a result of common noise in a society, ie from air, road and train traffic, is sleep disturbance. Another negative effect is stress.
Hard rock and Heavy Metal are music that is characterized by a general loudness, a massive sound and a reinforced distortion. It lacks song harmonics and as a rule the major accords. The music genre is usually associated with aggressiveness, machismo and masculinity. If you do not have to express disharmony or disagreement, it can be difficult to play or listen to such music.
To have more peace of mind in your life, try to avoid traffic noise and do listen to music that gives you harmony. In the chapter Water Is Also Food you can read about how classical and harmonious music can affect water molecules and thus us and even help to clean ponds and lakes according to Masaru Emoto’s studies. Harmonious sounds influences us favorably on many different levels, even animals and plants are affected
