Do you find chia puddings to be a bit slimy and bland?
But wished you had a chia recipe (both simple and easy to make) that you still enjoyed, since you want to eat chia because they are so nutritious?
Wait no more!
That’s what I used to think, slimy and gooey. Great for chia pets, but as a pudding?
And then my friend Betty came to the rescue with this simple, yet tasty recipe. And now I make chia puddings in all shapes and forms!
Here’s the recipe:
Betty’s Chia Pudding
½ cup apple juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon (preferably Ceylon – true cinnamon)
3 tablespoons chia seeds
Here is what to do
1. Juice apples or buy freshly squeezed juice or use cider (unpasteurized). Pour in a bowl or glass.
2. Add cinnamon and stir.
3. Add the chia seeds and stir to coat. Let sit for 20 minutes or in fridge over night. Decorate with berries and fruits to your liking.
