A new vegan place just opened up in Fort Lauderdale in February 2013. It is Elena Pezzo from the Zenergy truck that is behind this new venture.
Elena is the woman and health passionista who started up the Zenergy truck, a superfood health food truck which stopped at various locations and provided super food smoothies, healthy snacks (such as kale chips and superfood ice pops) and raw, vegan and gluten-free cuisine that changed weekly.
Read about the touching story and watch the video that started this wellness revolution.
Now she and Charlie Grippo, the chef, have their own place situated in a strip mall just north of the 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale. They offer breakfasts and lunches; and on March 7th they will have their grand opening starting evening services as well!
Check out their community table – it fits 18 people!
In the picture you see Karl, the Green Bar manager.
Their menu is all vegan plant foods with soups, salads, cold-pressed juices and smoothies.
You also find entrees like Coconut Grain Bowl and GBK Burger and there is always a raw food dish –
you really have to try their Living Lasagna – it is deliciously tasty!
For breakfast you can choose the Vegan Elvis – a millet sandwich filled with banana, almond butter and cinnamon or have some yummy oatmeal with gojiberries and bananas.
On a beautiful day, why not enjoy your meal out on the patio!
Remember to check out both the “bakery” section and the “store” for all sorts of superfoods, crackers, kombucha, and organic wines etc.
And when you stop by for a great vegan meal; say hi to Elena, Charlie and Karl from me!
