What is Coconut Manna?
This luscious tasty coconut butter or manna is made from whole coconuts. Actually from dehydrated mature coconut meat. So you get the fiber, oil, minerals, vitamins, protein – all the nutrients, just as you would from eating a whole coconut in dehydrated form.
Coconut Butter is puréed which gives it a melt-in-your-mouth feel and Manna, meaning food from heaven, is a fitting name for this delicious treat.
Use it
as a spread on your crackers and bread, as a dip, in smoothies and puddings and in desserts.
Note
that the oil often separates to the top and the manna becomes solid below 73 ͦ F . Just place it in hot water for a couple of minutes and then gently stir to mix.
Look for
organic and raw coconut manna/butter. It has been dehydrated at a lower temperature and I find it a bit smoother and silkier in texture. Artisana is one of the brands that sells raw coconut butter, and Nutiva calls their product – Coconut Manna; theirs is not raw though.
Enjoy your Manna!
