Vibrant Health

Detox-energy

Many people feel that a raw food diet is in itself a cleansing diet. Plant foods are easier to digest. You will not feel heavy after a raw food meal and less energy is needed for digestion and absorption. Just by eating plant foods in their natural state, our bodies will have energy left over for cleaning and healing. At some point in time you will have cleaned out a lot of “old debris”, and then you will notice a positive change in how you feel, both physically and mentally.

Fasting

To speed up the cleansing process you can help your body by having a fast. You already fast during night when you sleep – no food and no water. You can make the fast into what you like and are comfortable with. It could be a water fast, or it could be a juice fast for a day, a week or even longer.

Weight

When eating vibrant raw foods your weight will naturally come down to a level that fits your body type. Brigitte Mars says: ”The good news for many is that raw foods enable us to eat delicious food and still achieve and maintain our optimal weight”.

If you are underweight, you will be nourished by these foods and might gain your weight back quite quickly.

Exercise – Inversions

Movement and exercise is important; it keeps our insulin levels down. Yoga is a great way to twist and massage not only our muscles and joints, but also our inner organs, like the liver and intestines. They would love a little massage, don’t you think? Inversions are wonderful for rejuvenation. An inversion is a position where you have your hips above your heart. Like in the head or shoulder stand or the downward dog position. Or when weeding in your garden! Any movement is beneficial; swim, walk and dance; you already know this.

Life force

Life force is the bio-electrical field that surrounds all living things. This force can be captured using Kirlian photography. Conventionally grown raw foods show some life force, organically grown raw foods show much more and superherbs and superfoods show an “explosion” like aura. Cooked foods show nothing, they are dead.

Oxygen

Without oxygen we will not last long. The air in the major cities is quite polluted and oxygen level is down to 15% or even lower. Should be 20-30%. A green house filled with growing wheatgrass and shoots have an oxygen level of about 30%. We humans need plants not only for supplying our foods, but also for the oxygen that they produce.

In parks, forests, mountains and by the ocean the air is cleaner and more oxygen filled. So try to spend time outdoors near plants and trees as much as possible. Sleep with a window open, weather permitting; take your lunch break outside and go for a walk or just sit on a bench.

Sleep-Rest

Sleep is when we clean, heal and re-build our tissues, organs, body. When it comes to rest, sometimes the best thing to do is nothing. Rest is more than just relaxation – it is discovering peace within you.

Sunlight

Sunlight is the power behind all living things on our planet. Without this force plants would not grow and produce chlorophyll and all the other nutrients they supply us with.

We need to have sun light on our skin to produce vitamin D. This vitamin is involved in an incredible amount of different activities in our bodies. Try to be outside and absorb the healing rays of the sun without blocking them with chemically harmful lotions. Make sure you do not burn your skin. Get out of the sun before risking sun burn. Avoid getting too much sun by wearing a hat, covering yourself with clothes, wearing sunglasses and being in the shade. But do expose yourself to the healing rays of the sun; ideally 20-30 minutes around noon, when the UVB rays are the strongest. These rays are responsible for the “production” of vitamin D.
